  According to Buddhist legends, two divine birds possess the power and ability to create and govern the world: the Golden-Winged Bird (Garuda) and the Peacock. In Indian culture, the peacock is associated with the goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing beauty, compassion, generosity, luck, prosperity, and wealth. The peacock embodies not only graceful beauty but also pure compassion and majestic pride. It is a symbol of strength and authority.

  In Buddhism, the peacock is believed to create life and is even said to have once swallowed the Buddha into its belly. This combination of pride and strength elevates the peacock to the status of a divine bird.
